Yellow Bird Bookshop is an independent bookseller based in Beeston, Nottingham; whilst also serving the communities in Nottinghamshire and beyond. 

Rooted in community and creativity, we specialise in diverse, inclusive and inspiring books. We are passionate about uplifting marginalised voices and showcasing new and independent work.

As a community-focused bookshop, our carefully curated collection centres on contemporary fiction and general non-fiction, alongside a selection of vibrant children’s, YA/teen, creative hobby based books. We are passionate about creating a welcoming space where readers feel seen, valued and represented. 

From joyful picture books and empowering young adult stories to thought-provoking literary fiction and accessible non-fiction, our shelves are chosen with care and purpose. We have specialist knowledge in diverse literature and are dedicated to championing underrepresented voices across all genres.

By spotlighting authors and illustrators from a wide range of backgrounds, Yellow Bird Bookshop aims to nurture empathy, curiosity and imagination in readers of all ages.
